I have my PS3 connected via HDMI to a M550NV Vizio hdtv. Most of my bluray disc collection works with no problems, but a few discs (fifth Element, Losers, 9) will not play sound at all.
I attempted to manually reset the audio settings on the PS3 with a little success. I can get the surround to work on a few discs, but no center channel (no voices).
I assume I must return to the audio settings menu, but I do not want to "cause damage" to my speakers by setting it too high.
I found several others having similar problems in this forum but no real answers.
